That'll Be the Day Peggy Sue
It's So Easy Oh, Boy!
Rave On Everyday
Not Fade Away True Love Ways
Gavan Rousseau knows a thing or two about impersonating Buddy Holly; he's been doing it since he was four! A gifted prodigy, he taught himself to play guitar and piano by age eight. At the ripe-old age of 12, he could sound, play and command the stage the way his rock idol did. In 2005, he debuted his tribute show, The Buddy Holly Story, and hasn't looked back.
When he steps into character and takes the stage, the resemblance is uncanny. It's not just his short, curly hair and horn-rimmed glasses but his voice and spirit that are as close to the rock legend as humanly possible.
Rousseau will take you back to 1956 when Holly first hit the scene and the following three short years that helped cement his legacy in rock music. You'll hear all the classics and the stories behind them.
Buddy Holly's raw rock 'n' roll style inspired many, including the Beatles and The Rolling Stones. He was among the first artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him #13 in its list of "100 Greatest Artists."
This year marks the 60th anniversary of "the day the music died," when Holly, Richie Valens and "The Big Bopper" boarded that fateful plane in Mason City, Iowa. Come out and celebrate the life and music of this American original!
