Cruisin' The Tears of a Clown
Being with You I Second That Emotion
With over 4,000 songs to his credit, Smokey Robinson is a music legend. He started his career as frontman of The Miracles, penning such hits as "You've Really Got a Hold on Me," "Ooo Baby Baby" and "The Tracks of My Tears." During his time in the band, The Miracles placed 26 songs in the Billboard Top 40.
Smokey was also chief songwriter for Motown Records and later vice president, writing hits for Marvin Gaye, Mary Wells and The Temptations ("The Way You Do the Things You Do," "My Girl" and "Get Ready").
He went on to enjoy a successful solo career, producing great songs like "One Heartbeat" and "Just to See Her," the latter winning a Grammy® Award in 1988.
An esteemed member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame, Smokey has received countless awards and honors. He continues to keep the Motown sound alive for a new generation of fans and for baby boomers who grew up listening to his velvety smooth vocals.
Sing along and reminisce to the timeless hits of one of music's all-time greats.
