"It seems like a parody. But when Puddles opens his mouth to sing, it's beautiful. Operatic." –The Boston Globe
Puddles Pity Party features a charismatic 7-foot sad clown whose golden voice has been compared to rock legends Tom Jones and Freddie Mercury. Thanks to his operatic interpretations of popular songs, he has amassed nearly 900K YouTube subscribers and performed sold out shows all over the globe, including The Kennedy Center in D.C., San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts, London's Soho Theatre and a residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Deftly combining melancholy with the absurd, his performances have been hailed as both "hysterically funny" (LA Weekly) and "life-affirming" (Herald Scotland). He's received high praise from musical comedy legends Eric Idle, Jack Black, Michael McKean, Drew Carey and Weird Al Yankovic.
You may recognize him as a quarterfinalist on season 12 of America's Got Talent, from the 2020 season of AGT: The Champions and from his viral video collaborations with Postmodern Jukebox. He also made a guest appearance on the season four finale of ABC's The Conners and performed a duet with the iconic Eric Idle on Homeward Bound: A Grammy® Salute to the Songs of Paul Simon filmed for CBS.
During the pandemic, Puddles produced 14 episodes of his Still Sequestered stream show that featured guests Penn Jillette, Michael Stipe, Weird Al, Michael Des Barres and more. Puddles also came out with his own blend of coffee for Dancing Goats®, recorded his latest album titled Songs That Got Me Through the Plague and launched the satirical Puddles Pity Party Informational Magazine, a nostalgic tribute to National Lampoon and vintage periodicals like Popular Mechanics.
But it's on stage where he is at his best. When it comes to great performances, Puddles doesn't clown around.
