How do I order tickets for a school show?

Please print and completely fill out the show’s order form and either drop off in person, mail, email or fax to the Genesee Theatre

You will receive a confirmation email from the Genesee Theatre. We are unable to reserve tickets without order form and deposit. The deposit is due and payable when order form is sent.

How do I pay for my tickets?

Payment for the deposit and balance due must be made in the form of a check payable to the Genesee Theatre. Please mail or drop off payment to the address on the order form. Credit cards are accepted with an additional 3% service fee. Full payment must be made prior to the day of the show. Absolutely NO payments accepted the day of the show unless prior arrangements have been made.

Can I cancel my ticket order?

Please call or email as soon as possible to cancel your order so tickets can be released to other groups. Cancellation of your tickets forfeits the deposit.

Can I add tickets to my order?

Requests for additional tickets must be made prior to the day of the show. Payments for added tickets must be made prior to the day of the show unless previous arrangements have been made.Additional seating is based on availability and is not guaranteed.

What if I have a student with a disability?

ADA accommodations are available with notice. Please call or email the box office at 847.263.6300 or larry.frievalt@geneseetheatre.com to make arrangements for special seating or interpreters as soon as possible.

What is the show cancellation policy?

If the show is cancelled by the Genesee, you will be issued a full refund for tickets.

What if our school closes that day and we cannot attend?

If your group is unable to attend because of a school closure, the Theatre will issue your class a voucher good for another school show during the school year. Unfortunately we cannot issue refunds. Please notify the box office at 847.263.6300 or larry.frievalt@geneseetheatre.com.

When can my class arrive?

Doors open one hour before the performance. Please allow adequate time to arrive at the theater and be seated before the start of the performance. Groups entering the theater must check in with their school name and will be directed to their seats by a theater usher.

When do I get my tickets?

We do not issue paper tickets for our school show performances. Seating is available on a first-come first-serve basis. Your class will be seated in the first available seats when you arrive.

Where does the bus drop off?

The bus drop off area is located in the parking lot directly behind the Theatre on the corner of Sheridan Road and Clayton Street. Genesee staff will be outside the Theatre directing buses when you arrive. Buses can remain parked behind the Theatre during the performance.

How do we find our bus after the performance is over?

Please remain seated at the conclusion of the performance. Groups will be dismissed in the order they arrived as quickly as possible.

Can we bring and eat our lunch at the Theater?

We have a limited amount of rooms available for lunch following the performance. Please call or email the box office at 847.263.6300 or larry.frievalt@geneseetheatre.com to reserve space for your class.

Is there financial assistance available for my class?

Financial assistance or free busing may be available for your class through the Genesee’s partnership with First Midwest Bank. Email  larry.frievalt@geneseetheatre.com to find out if you qualify.
